The College Entrepreneur Life: the rise of the To-Do list

The photo above is my to do list. The life of a college entrepreneur is quite an interesting thing. I feel like I’m running all over the place 24/7 between school work, my Phi Beta Lambda obligations, working and building the business amongst a variety of additional responsibilities. I like my life as it is and building the business is a pleasure but I am litterally running around at all hours to get things done and I hope that my efforts will be rewarded in the near future.

Why I decided to launch Symmetrical Media Marketing in time for the Philadelphia Small Business Expo

During the planning phase of Symmetrical Media Marketing I made the calculated decision to implement an agressively scheduled launch date in order to be ready for the biggest B2B trade show in the nation, the Small Business Expo. The expo will take place on March 24, 2016 in Oaks, Pa.
Any successful business professional in the industry will tell you that B2B (Business-to-Business) is the way to go. It’s a far more focused marketing job that B2C (Business-to-Consumer) and it is heavily relationship based. It is for that very reason that I chose to launch the company in time to be able to attend and be prepared for the upcoming expo because it is important to be able to establish professional relationships and attract new clients at a trade show like the expo.
According to the Small Business Expo, the average show will have at least 3,000-7,000 members and over 80% of the members are decision-makers in their business.
One of the primary issues with advertising is targeting. Similar to how LinkedIn Ads allows marketers to specify their target audience based all the way down to the persons role in their company, this B2B show will provide its guests with direct access to influential decision-makers. In addition,  since this event is tailored directly toward small businesses in the B2B industry, this is the perfect opportunity for us to reach our target client. At this time our target client is a small business in the B2B service industry with about 1-20 employees with an ineffective, little to no online presence. Apparently over 64% of the visitors of the conference may be a match for us.

In closing, we are extatic to be able to attend the 2016 Philadelphia Small Business Expo in Oaks, Pa and if we feel that the event is a success then we will plan to attend the upcoming expos in New York City and Atlanta later this year. We look forward to seeing you there, visit our website or contact us for more information.
